Lakeview Senior Center- Chinese New Year
Southern California Youth Cultural Association (SCYCA) was honored to perform at the Lakeview Senior Center Chinese New Year Celebration, an annual event hosted by the Irvine Evergreen Chinese Senior Association. This year marks SCYCA’s 8th consecutive year participating in this meaningful community celebration.
Our youth performers presented an energetic dragon and lion dance performance, bringing festive spirit, cultural pride, and vibrant New Year blessings to the seniors and community guests. With strong fundamentals, coordinated teamwork, and uplifting energy, the students showcased the beauty of traditional Chinese performing arts and the dedication of the next generation in carrying on cultural heritage.
SCYCA is grateful for the continued partnership with the Irvine senior community and remains committed to promoting cultural arts, youth leadership, and intergenerational connection through performances and community engagement.
連續8年由 Irvine Evergreen Chinese Senior Association（爾灣華人松柏會）與Irvine City 共同舉辦、於 Lakeview Senior Center 隆重登場的農曆新年慶祝活動中，Southern California Youth Cultural Association（SCYCA）南加州青少年文化協會 受邀參與演出，為長者與社區來賓帶來最具年味的文化表演。
活動當天，現場聚集近百位長者、社區領袖與市府代表，共同歡慶馬年新春。節目內容豐富多元，而 SCYCA 青少年舞龍舞狮隊的演出更是全場亮點之一。伴隨著鏗鏘有力的鑼鼓聲，隊伍呈現 醒獅與舞龍 的精采演出，龍騰狮躍、氣勢磅礡，象徵新年的吉祥、活力與希望。青少年成員以整齊的步伐、扎實的基本功與充滿朝氣的表現，展現了文化傳承在新世代中的延續。
這場演出不僅讓長者們感受到濃厚的節慶氛圍，也讓更多社區居民看見 SCYCA 致力於推廣中華文化藝術、培育青少年領導力與文化認同 的使命。透過舞龍舞獅的呈現，SCYCA 再次向社區展示文化藝術的力量，並為 Lakeview Senior Center 的新春活動增添喜慶與溫暖。
