Irvine Global Village Festival
The Southern California Youth Cultural Association (SCYCA) is honored to participate annually in the Irvine Global Village Festival, one of the city’s largest and most vibrant multicultural celebrations. Held each fall at the Great Park, the festival brings together diverse cultures, performances, global cuisine, and community organizations, showcasing the rich international spirit of Irvine.
SCYCA’s youth dragon dance, lion dance, and diabolo teams are among the festival’s most anticipated cultural performances. With powerful drum rhythms, dynamic formations, and skillful choreography, the dragon and lion dance symbolize strength, courage, and good fortune. The diabolo performance adds energy and precision, highlighting the artistry and athleticism of traditional Chinese performing arts.
Each year, SCYCA’s performance draws enthusiastic audiences of families, residents, and international visitors. The students’ dedication, teamwork, and cultural pride shine on stage, making their presentation a signature highlight of the festival.
